Quality products and service are no accident. Rather they result from carefully designed and controlled processes. The courses in Quality Assurance teach students statistical thinking. Students will learn about statistical tools for analyzing a wide variety of engineering problems. These courses teach students how to measure, analyze and improve product and service quality and reliability.

Work Experience

Students choosing the Quality Assurance Concentration will be able to assist their co-op employer by applying concepts of engineering statistics, quality improvement tools and reliability in the design and assessment of products and in the manufacturing operations that produce them. The results of such applications provide substantial input to the decision making process of management.
